Über die Veranstaltung
Welche neuen Möglichkeiten entstehen durch die Synergie zwischen Textil- und Elektronikforschung, Design und Wirtschaft? Wie können wir die textile Forschungs- und Industrielandschaft dynamischer und nachhaltiger gestalten? Und ist Open Innovation ein erfolgreiches und praktisch anwendbares Modell für die Zukunft, auch außerhalb des Textilbereichs?
Das Textile Prototyping Lab hat sich in den letzten 4,5 Jahren zum ersten offenen Labor für Hightech-Textilien in Deutschland entwickelt. Es bietet die Möglichkeit, komplexe textile Projekte durch eine breite Prototyping-Infrastruktur und ein multidisziplinäres Team aus ForscherInnen und DesignerInnen zu realisieren. Gegründet als Forschungsprojekt von fünf Organisationen aus den Bereichen Textil- und Elektronikforschung, Design und Wirtschaft, will das Textile Prototyping Lab ein offener, agiler und interdisziplinärer Ort für textiles Prototyping mit dem Kernthema Open Innovation sein.
In dieser eintägigen Veranstaltung mit Präsentationen, Fallstudien und interaktiven Sitzungen untersuchen wir die Herausforderungen und Erfolge, die sich auf dem Weg des Textile Prototyping Labs ergeben haben.
Weit entfernt von traditionellen Symposien, bei denen Wissen vertikal von aktiven SprecherInnen an passive ZuhörerInnen weitergegeben wird, bietet diese Veranstaltung einen Rahmen, in dem sich auch jede/r TeilnehmerIn aktiv an einem Austausch von Visionen und Ideen beteiligen kann. Durch unsere Vernetzungsformate werden wir multidisziplinäre Akteure zusammenbringen und einen Raum schaffen, in dem neue strategische Kooperationen und kreative Interaktionen entstehen können.

In a final discussion round, selected guests will reflect the day and questions can be asked to the participants of the discussion round.
About the event
What new opportunities could arise from the synergy between textile and electronics research, design and business? How might we reshape the textile research and industry landscape in a more dynamic and sustainable way? And to what extent could open innovation be both a successful and practically applicable model, even beyond the field of textiles?
Over the last 4,5 years, the Textile Prototyping Lab has developed into the first open laboratory for high-tech textiles in Germany. It offers the possibility to implement complex textile projects through a broad prototyping infrastructure and a multidisciplinary team of researchers and designers. Founded as a research project by five organizations from the fields of textile and electronics research, design and business, the Textile Prototyping Lab aims to be an open, agile and interdisciplinary place for textile prototyping with the core theme of Open Innovation.
In this one-day event of presentations, case studies, and interactive sessions, we will examine the challenges and achievements that have emerged along the journey of the Textile Prototyping Lab.
Far from traditional symposia where knowledge is passed vertically from active speakers to passive listeners, this event will also provide a context for each participant to actively engage in an exchange of visions and ideas. Through our networking formats, we will bring together multidisciplinary actors and create a space where new strategic collaborations and creative actions can emerge.
